Luciano Leija Esquivel

Luciano Leija Esquivel, 78, of Commerce passed away on Monday, August 29, 2011, in Commerce.

He was born in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico on March 3, 1933, to Josefina Esquivel and Carlos Leija. Luciano attended the Morman Church in Mexico. He loved to walk and listen to music. He was a great man, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who showed a lot of love to his family.

Survivors include his wife, Maria del Carman Zamora Martinez Esquivel of Commerce; his sons: Dimas Leija of Paris, Jose Leija of Commerce, and Luis Leija of Mexico; his daughters: Martha Leija of El Paso and Veronica Leija of Commerce; his brothers: Francisco Leija and Gorge Leija both of Mexico; twelve grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at a later date in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico.
