Marion Ratliff Jr.

Marion Ratliff Jr., 55, of Commerce, passed away at his residence early Tuesday morning, June 23, 2020. Marion was born on December 4, 1964 in Georgetown, Ohio, the son of Marion Denver Ratliff Sr. and Kathleen Blankenship Ratliff. He served in the U.S. Navy from December 1983 until September of 1985. He was a self employed truck driver for thirty years. Marion married Val Chambliss on August 12, 2015 and they resided in Commerce.

Marion is survived by his parents of Alabama, his wife Val of Commerce, two daughters: Brandy Edwards of Dallas, and Jalyn Holt of Austin, and three sisters: Sandra Callahan and husband David of McCalla, Alabama, Denise Fuqua and husband Charles of Bay Minette, Alabama, and Hope Beasley and husband David of Mobile, Alabama, and one brother: James Ratliff of Mobile, Alabama.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2020 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Jones- Walker & Son Funeral Home.

Graveside service with military honors will be Friday, June 26, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at Sonora Cemetery in Fairlie, TX., with Chaplain Samuel Glenn officiating.

Family and friends will travel in procession from Jones-Walker Funeral Home to Sonora Cemetery leaving at 10:45 am on Friday, June 26, 2020
