Martha Sue Anderson

Martha Sue Anderson, 61, of Rowlett, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2011, at her home in Rowlett.

She was born on May 25, 1949, in Corinth, MS, to Gladys Estella Richie Roden and James Wesley Roden. She had been the general manager for EZ Mart. Martha had lived in Cooper, TX, before moving to Rowlett.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Melinda S Morel; her father, James Wesley Roden; and, two brothers: James Caloir Roden and Clifton Wayne Roden.

Survivors include her daughter, Serina F. Watkins of Rowlett; her mother, Gladys Roden of Pecan Gap; her brother, Donald R. Roden of Point; her sister, Melissa D. Adams of Pecan Gap; her grandchildren: Chris Lynch, Wendell Watkins, Bobby Nix, Susan Kimberlin, Melissa Craig, Thomas "T.J." Watkins, and Melody Morel; her great-grandchildren: Kiley Spencer Craig, Topher Lynch, Jenna Lynch; Jordan Nix, Tucker Nix, and Richie Nix.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 7, 2011, at Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held beginning at 12 p.m. until service time on Thursday, April 7, 2011, at Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home.

Private interment services will be held at East Mount Cemetery in Greenville.
