Marvin Ray Haney "Pee Wee"

Marvin Ray "Pee Wee" Haney, 54, of Wills Point, Texas passed away on September 5, 2021, at Hunt Regional Medical Center of Greenville, Texas. He was born in Dallas, Texas on April 16, 1967, the son of Bobby Joe Haney and Maxine Lean Watson Haney. He married Patty Wilmany on November 30, 1990 and they made their home in Wills Point at the time of his passing. Pee Wee worked as a handyman, and was considered a "home body" by his friends and family. He enjoyed fishing, tending to his animals, and washing and shining his truck to pass the time. You could find him listening to any and all genres of music and most likely watching the old westerns (especially Gunsmoke) whenever he watch TV. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Those who survive him include his wife of 31 years, Patty, two sons: James Frederick Franklin and Christian Haney, three granddaughters: Haylie Marie Franklin, Scarlett Monroe Franklin, and Harlie Ray Haney. Other survivors include two brothers: Michael Joe Haney and wife Debra of Wills Point, Mark Haney and wife Joni of Dallas, and one sister, Rhonda Bodette and husband Bo of Quinlan. He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews: Charles, Bobby, Misty, Tammy, Anthony, Lisa, Jena, Robin, and Becky and sister-in-laws: Bessie Brown and husband Luke, and Ann Garner and brother-in-law, Floyd Young. Preceding him in death were his parents: Bobby Joe and Maxine Haney and brothers: Larry Dewayne Haney and Danny Paul Haney.

Visitation for Marvin will be Saturday, September 11, 2021 from 2:00-3:00 p.m. at the Jones-Walker Funeral Chapel in Commerce. A graveside service will be held at the New Klondike Cemetery in Klondike, Texas at 3:30 p.m. with Bro. Terry Bryan officiating and James Franklin, Christian Haney, Timothy Bishop, Terry Aden, Lee Lee Driggers and Alex Utrera serving as pallbearers.
