Mary Ellen Edmonson

Mary Ellen Edmonson, 78, of Sulphur Springs passed away on April 6, 2010 at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital.

Mary was born on February 18, 1932 in Garland to Walter S. and Velma G. Clark Helton. She married Billy Glen Edmonson in Rockwall on January 3, 1953. She was a member of the Beckham Baptist Church, a homemaker, a wonderful mother, and a very special grandmother.

Mary is survived by her two daughters: Sharon and Kenneth Davis of Fruitvale and Glenda Morrison and Homer Hooten of Sulphur Springs: two sons, Billy Don and Rebecca Edmonson of Sulphur Springs and Joe Dan and Melinda Edmonson of Sulphur Springs: 17 grandchildren; and 24 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents, Walter and Gladys Helton; her brother, Joseph Helton; and their very special cat companion, DODO.

Per Mary's request, there will be NO services or visitation. If you would like to donate in honor of Mary's passing, please make a contribution to your choice of any animal society center.

Children and friends will gather at a later date.
