Mary Elizabeth Spradling

Mary Elizabeth Spradling, 84, of Wills Point passed away at Hunt Regional Medical Center in Greenville on Tuesday evening November 30, 2021.

Mary was born on October 16, 1937 in the Vansickle Community of Hunt County to David Woodson Horton and Ola Mae Greer Horton.

Mary was a homemaker who loved cooking. She loved her westerns, especially John Wayne movies. One thing Mary loved and rejoiced in was her family, with her grandkids being her joy.

Mary is survived by her children: Teresa Garcia of Commerce, Danny Spradling (Sylvia) of Greenville and son-in-law Marion Spurlock of Commerce; grandchildren: Michael Spurlock (Summer) of Greenville, Christina Thompson (Christopher) of Wills Point, Adam Spurlock (Keely) of Wooster, OH, Michelle Estrella (Fernando) of Greenville, Anna Spradling and Cody Spradling both of Greenville; great grandchildren: Tanisha Garcia, Fernando Estrella Jr., Matilda Estrella, Damon Spurlock, Jacob Spurlock and Rowan Spurlock; great great grandchild Kamila Wilson. She is also survived by a sister, Barbara Moody of Plano and brothers: Lloyd Horton of Paris, James Horton (Barbara) of Garland, Johnny Horton of Celeste, Steve Horton of Celeste, Paul Horton of Leonard and Robert Horton of Celeste.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents Ola Mae and David Horton, daughters Rhonda Spurlock and Pamela Spradling; grandsons Jose Spradling and Jesse Spradling; great grandson Byron Garcia; sisters: Virginia Cook and Bertha Mae Horton; brothers: Aubrey Horton, Jack Horton, Virgil Horton and Clifford Horton.
