Mary Helen "Burner" Threlkeld, 99, of Campbell passed away on Monday afternoon at Hunt Regional Hospital in Greenville. She was born on December 28, 1921, in Hunt County, Texas, the daughter of Bernice Henry Price and Finetta Elizabeth Kizer Price. She married Lorenzo Leonard Threlkeld on March 9, 1941. After being a housewife and Mother, Mary went to Cosmetology school to get her license. Burner helped many individuals in many ways during her 49 years as the owner/operator of beauty shops in Commerce and Rockwall.
Mary Helen is survived by a son, Gary Threlkeld of Arkansas, a daughter, Vicki Warden (Jack) of Campbell, TX., and a host of Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, and Great Great Grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Nancy Price of Greenville, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three sons: Buddy Joe Threlkeld, Leonard G. Threlkeld, and Ronald Lee Threlkeld, two daughters: Norma Gene Minor, and Glenda Gailey, two daughter-in-laws: Kay Threlkeld and Sandi Jo Threlkeld, two son-in-laws: Doyle Miller and Jerry Gailey, great grandson, Levi Miller and a brother B.H. Price.
Visitation will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at Cross Trails Cowboy Church. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 P.M. Burial will take place at Sonora Cemetery in Fairlie.
