Nettie Helen Sibley

Nettie Helen Sibley, 94, of Commerce, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2013, at her home in Commerce.

Nettie was born on November 20, 1918, in Cumby to Jessie Jewel Mosely and Walter Monroe Bryant. She married L. C. Sibley on December 7, 1940, in Cumby. Nettie was a seamstress and a member of Fairlie Baptist Church. She loved reading, sewing and going places.

Survivors include her son, John Sibley of Commerce; her daughter, Martha Lou Campbell of Commerce; her granddaughter, Deidra Marie Rhyn, her four grandsons: Jonathan Sibley, Michael Sibley, Christopher Sibley and Charles Jeffery Campbell; and, ten great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; her infant daughter, Helen Joyce Sibley; two brothers: William Taylor and Marvin Bryant; and, her sister, Bertie Lee.

In lieu of usual remembrances, the family has suggested that donations should be made to your favorite charity.

Graveside services will be conducted on Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at Sunny Point Cemetery (South of Cumby) at 11:00 a.m.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the graveside service at Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home.
