Orval D. France

Orval D. France, 80, passed away on Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at the Carriage House Manor in Sulphur Springs.

Orval was born on October 23, 1929 to William Houston and Corene Bullard France in Mt. Vernon, Texas. He married Pauline McQueen in 1948. In 1983 he married Elsie Riley.

He is survived by his wife, Elsie Riley France, three daughters: Shirley Shadix of Irving, TX, Kay Taylor and spouse Jamie of Chandler, AZ, and Doris France of Irving, TX, seven step children: Sandra Tucker and spouse James of Kilgore, David France and spouse Barbara of Dike, TX, Billy France and spouse Mary of Cumby, TX, Johnny France of Austin, Mark France and spouse Vickie of Cumby, TX, Sherry Dean of Cumby, Texas, Lisa Dowd and spouse Danny of Louisiana, a nephew, Ricky Childers of Commerce, TX, two nieces: Linda Skinner and spouse Rayof Greenville, TX and Shelly Campbell and spouse Kenneth of Cumby, TX, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Orval was preceded in death by his first wife, Pauline McQueen, his parents, a brother, two sisters, three daughters, and a son.

Visitation will be held at Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home on Friday, March 26, 2010 between 10:00 a.m. untill noon.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 26, 2010 at Friendship Cemetery in Cumby, TX.
