Ralph Eugene Moyer of Commerce passed away in his home with his family by his side, on Saturday, April 18, 2015.
Ralph was born in Junction City, Kansas on April 24, 1932 to Eva Aldine Bryant Moyer and James Alvy Moyer. On February 20, 1954, he married Alma Marie Schafer. He was a retired USAF Pilot, Financial Manager and founder of Lone Star Eatery
Ralph proudly served his country during the Vietnam War, as a Major in the United States Air Force and was a great supporter of Veterans. He could never give too much, always willing to help anyone in need. Ralph was the first patient to receive Home Dialysis though the Veteran's Administration.. He lived by what his parents taught him, be fair in all of life and to everyone. At any given time one would find Ralph roaming around the Lone Star Eatery with his bowl of peanuts or his bowl of Hershey's Kisses as "Every woman deserves a kiss and some men deserve a peanut". To know Ralph was to love him. He will be greatly missed.
Survivors include his wife Alma, his three sons: Ronald Moyer of Alaska, Randall and Kenneth Moyer both of Texas, his three daughters: Valerie Moss of Virginia, Jill Cheney and Lisa Frisbie, both of Texas, his grandchildren: Mark Bowman, Kristin Bowman, Jennifer Moyer, Heather Donohoue, Jessica Moyer, Christopher Cheney, Kyle Cheney, Jonathan Zebendon, Kristina Moyer, David Moyer, Jeanette Saunders and Patricia Teran, and his great-grandchildren: Milana Waller, Saetta Michalsen, Lori Cheney, Roman Cheney, Jay Kob Cheney, Logan Zebendon, Alexandria Zebendon, Adalyce Zebendon, Devyn Saunders, Jovie Donohoue and Kara Donahoue. He is also survived by his brother, Eldon Moyer of Kansas and his two sisters: Ardella Stebbins of Alabama and Donna Leach of Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his two brothers: Melvin Moyer and Jim Moyer.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2015, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m at Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home in Commerce.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Commerce, with Father Marcus officiating.
Burial will follow at Rosemound Cemetery in Commerce, with full military honors. Grandson David Moyer, will play Taps.
Pallbearers will be Jonathan Zebendon, Kyle Moyer, David Moyer, Curtis Moyer, Kevin Moyer, Kyle Cheney, Chris Cheney and Mark Bowman.
