Raymond Villarreal

Raymond Villarreal, 74, of Cooper passed away at his residence surrounded by his loving family on Sunday afternoon December 24, 2023.  He was born on December 8, 1949 in Wolfe City to John Villarreal and Juanita Luna.  He met and married Margie Dale Foster.  Raymond worked in the construction field and was said to be a jack of all trades.

He is survived by his sons: Anthony Villarreal and wife Casey of Cooper, Shawn Villarreal, Joseph Villarreal and Christopher Villarreal; grandchildren: Sierra Villarreal, Kyliee Villarreal and Zachary Villarreal; sisters: Mary Sartin, Eva Armendariz, Juanita Rosales, Ann Meza and Delores Morgan; a brother John Villarreal.  He is also survived by a host of other family and friends.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, wife Margie Villarreal, 2 sisters and 3 brothers.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 29, 2023 from 2:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. at Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home.  A graveside service will follow at 3:30 P.M. at Peerless Cemetery with Bro. Kaleb Wright officiating.

Pallbearers will be Anthony Villarreal, Joseph Villarreal, Carlos Sanders, James Villarreal, Patrick Belz and Tracy Overly.  Honorary pallbearers are Shawn Villarreal, Christopher Villarreal, CJ Belz, Johnny Sartin and Bo Szafran.
