Renae Jones

Renae Jones unexpectedly passed away one day short of her 53rd birthday in Tyler, Texas.

Renae was born in Dallas, Texas, to her mother and best friend, Wanda Bonner.

Renae is survived by her former husband and best male friend, David Finch; her sons: David Finch II, Chadwick Finch and his wife Jade and their children: Hunter, Oriyana, Sage, Emerald and Lilia, Michael Shawn Jones and his fiancee Kristin Kennelley and their children: Tatum, Adelea, Amalie and Anna, former daughter-in-law Brittany Urash and her children: Chloe, Kaden and Roxie, adopted daughter Heather and her daughte,r Bailey.

Her siblings include her brother Billy Bridwell, of Mabank, TX. Yancey Bridwell, of Sarasota, Fl., Rhonda Weisser, of Tulsa, OK, Alan Bridwell, of Mabank, TX and Reshea Spencer and her husband Michael, of Goffstown, NH, as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Renae loved life and most of all she loved being a "Gammie"! She took pride in all of her grandchildren, and in having them around her. She taught them to cook, sew and do other crafts. Anyone that knew her would say she was what every Gammie strives to be to their grandchildren. She would always have sleepovers with her grandchildren and loved each and every one of them dearly. Her cooking skills were unsurpassed and coveted by many.

She will be fondly remembered by her many cousins, aunts and uncles. She loved her family and some would say she was their second mom, a role she took seriously as she doled out discipline as needed as well as unconditional love.

In lieu of usual remembrances, the family has asked that you tell your family that you love them and give them a hug.

Graveside services will be conducted on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at 3:30 p.m. at Cutrite Cemetery.
