Rodney Belcher

Rodney Ladayne Belcher, 50, passed away Friday, November 6, 2009, in Longview, Texas.

He was born in Commerce, Texas, May 31, 1959.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Belcher of Commerce; three sons: Jeremy and wife Keisha, Charles (Charlie), and Jonathan Edwards of Commerce; a daughter, Mandy Edwards of Commerce; his father, Sanford Belcher and Irene of Ridgeway; his step-mother, Nell Carlton of Commerce; his brother, Ronney Belcher of Ridgeway; two sisters: Lynyall Belcher and Patresa Reynolds of Commerce; a step-brother, Larry Keels of Commerce; several nieces and nephews; nine grandchildren; and special loved ones: Tami Price, Amanda Rose, Erin Digiovani, and Barbara Chaney.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Belcher (Thomas); a brother, Ricky Belcher; a step-sister, Rae Ann (Racie) Fields; and, two step-brothers: Eddie Hughes and Dewayne Moore.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 10, 2009, at Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home chapel. Bro. Adam Hailes and Bro. Roy Lee Dittmar will officiate.

Interment will follow in Ridgeway Cemetery, Ridgeway, Texas.

Pallbearers will be Chris Tucker and Richard Jones both of Commerce, Kenneth Tucker of Fairlie, Jerry Edwards of Longview, Harold (Bubba) Jones of Cooper, and Stephen (Stevie) Patterson of Fairlie.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Monday, November 9, 2009, at Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home.
