Ronald Ray Shelby

Ronald Ray Shelby Sr., 74, of Yantis passed away at his residence, with his family by his side, on Sunday morning July 24, 2022. He was born the son of Gus Shelby Jr. and Nina Fay Barnes Shelby on July 25, 1947, in Sherman, Texas.  He married Shirley Fields in Irving, Texas on September 12, 2003. He was a retired crane operator for Davis Crane Service.

Ronald is survived by his wife, Shirley, children: Darby Shelby of Mesquite, Tx. and Ronald Ray Shelby Jr. of Sanger, Texas; grandchildren: Derick Shelby, Nathan Shelby, Jordan Shelby, Antony Shelby, Hope Shelby, and David Shelby, and a brother, Donald W. Shelby of Quinlan, Tx. His parents preceded him in death.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Pecan Gap Cemetery, with his son Ronald Shelby Jr. officiating.
