Ruby Moore Cooper

Ruby Cooper, 84, of Commerce passed away on Saturday, June 4, 2016, in Sulphur Springs.

Ruby was born in Sulphur Springs, Texas, on May 6, 1932, to Bertha Wood and Fred A. Moore. She was a retired nurse's aid. Ruby enjoyed working out in her yard and making it pretty. Too, she enjoyed sewing.

Survivors include her children: Janice (Henry) Keller, Judy (Harold) Prince, Teresa Clayton and her fiancé Paul Lindley, Jerry Cooper and Tawana (Lupe) Cuarenta; her 9 grandchildren - which are all boys: Nathaniel Keller, Chris Keller, Jason Keller, Bryan Edwards, Kevin Edwards, Wesley Edwards, Stephen Clayton, Brandon Clayton and Jessie Dafft; her 20 great grandchildren; her two sisters: Julie Flanery and June Jones; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.

Ruby was preceded in death by her parents: Bertha and Fred Moore; her husband, J.D. Cooper; her grandson, Johnathan Edwards; and, her sister, Lois Crow.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 7, 2016, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 8, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Chapel with Bro. Mike Stone and Sis. Jeanette Harris officiating.

Pallbearers will be Nathaniel Keller, Chris Keller, Jason Keller, Bryan Edwards, Kevin Edwards, Wesley Edwards, Stephen Clayton and Brandon Clayton.

Honorary pallbearers will be Gene Crow, Jesse Dafft, Zackaray Edwards, Jeff Benson and Darron Drennon.

Interment will follow at Rosemound Cemetery in Commerce.
