Sandra Catherine Huerter

Sandra was born in Jefferson City, Missouri on January 16, 1948 to parents Harold and Isla Benton.  She passed away in Greenville, Texas on August 26, 2023 at the age of 75.  For 35 years Sandra taught Computer Science at East Texas State University, now Texas A&M, before retiring in 2016.  It was said of Sandra, by one of her colleagues, "She was an intergral part of our department.  She was a key figure in a number of programs.  She had a warm and understanding heart for her students.  She will be missed."  

She is survived by two sisters, Barbara Benton of Vermont and Diane Benton of California.
