Shelia Hawkins

Shelia Hawkins, 60, of Commerce passed away Tuesday morning, August 13,2024 at Hunt Regional Emergency in Commerce.  She was born on August 17,1963 in Grand Praire, TX to Dalton McKinney and Jessie Mae Jackson McKinney.  She married Gary Dale Hawkins on June 16,2007 in Sulphur Bluff.

Shelia is survived by her husband Gary Dale Hawkins of Commerce, her parents Dalton and Jessie McKinney, daughter Crystal Degen of Cooper, sons Christopher Degen of Dike, TX and William "Blake" Degen of Commerce; grandchildren:  Shayla Nash, Zachary Harper, Zariah Harper, Jaylenn Degen, Riley Hart, Jaxon Degen, Clinton Degen, Dylan Degen, Colton Degen, Justin Degen, Ethan Degen and Braxton Degen.  She is also survived by sisters: Janice Roberts of Cooper, Kellie McKinney of Cooper and Tammie Foley of Sulphur Bluff; brothers: Kennitha McKinney of Powderly, Doug Mckinney of Ladonia and Shawn McKinney of Dike.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home.  A funeral service will take place at 11:00 A.M. with Bro. Bryce Jester officiating.  

Pallbearers will be Zachary Harper, Jaxon Degen, Clinton Degen, Dylan Degen, Doug McKinney, Kenny McKinney, Shawn McKinney and Dustin Moore.  Honorary pallbearers are Justin Degen, Braxton Degen, Colton Degen and Ethan Degen.
