Sherman "Pops" Price, Sr.

Sherman "Pops" Price, Sr., 65, of Commerce passed away on Wednesday, February 12, 2014, in Commerce.

He was a self-employed mechanic.

Sherman was born on June 26, 1948, to Annie Mae Boone and L. C. Price in Naples, Texas. On January 7, 1969, he married Laura Bailey in Greenville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and four brothers.

Survivors include his Special Friend, Shandia Crosby of Commerce; his sons: Sherman Wayne Price (Lisa) of Commerce, Willie James Crosby of Dallas, Dennis Stapleton (Christy) of Wolfe City, Shavron Reinhart of Commerce; his daughters: Debbie Hillard (Terry) of Commerce, Rachel Adair of Commerce, Barbara Price of San Antonio, Patricia Price of Commerce, Cassandra Price (Keendra) of Commerce, Shronda Newsome of Greenville, Sandy Reinhart of Greenville, Charletha Wilburn of Pecan Gap and Laura Nicole Price of Commerce; his brothers: J. Ray Price (Helen) of Wolfe City, Willis Price of Commerce and Kenneth Price (Shamynick) of Greenville; 26 grandchildren; and, 6 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, February 15, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church with Rev. Shawn Pannell officiating. Burial will follow in Rosemound Cemetery in Commerce.

Pallbearers will be Bertha Savage, Terry Hillard, Tren Sullivan, Rubin Terrell, Cliff Blair, Robert Jackson, Herman Bailey, and Darrell Wilburn.

Honorary pallbearers will be Lewis Harris, Richard Bailey, Joey Waters, Herbert Bailey, Eric Clayton and Burnette Hatley.
