Shirley P. Manning

Shirley P. Manning, 90, of Commerce passed away on Thursday morning December 15, 2022 at Oak Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation in Commerce.  She was born on April 4, 1932 in Lone Oak, TX to John Thomas Smiley and Claudia Lee Slemmons Smiley.  She met and married Darmon "DL" Manning.

Shirley is survived by her son Randy Manning and wife Amy of Commerce; granddaughters: Lacy Witt and husband Ronnie of Emory and Lori Manning of Rockwall; great-grandchildren: Caleb Witt, Colby Witt and Cohen Witt all of Emory and Daniel Cunningham of Rockwall.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sisters: Evelyn "Jerry" Stevens, Johnny Hanson and Nina Bernice Smiley.

Visitation will be Saturday December 17, 2022 from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home.  Graveside service will be held on Sunday December 18, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at Rosemound Cemetery with Bro. Ronnie Witt and Bro. Augi Gomez officiating.
