Shirley Anita Soape

Shirley Anita Soape, 81, of Commerce passed away on Thursday December 16, 2021 at Oak Manor Nursing Home. Shirley was born on June 25, 1940 in Marshall, Texas, the daughter of Dillard Campbell and Naomi Cox Campbell. She married Bobby Lynn Soape on December 21, 1970. Shirley loved the Lord and was always ready to offer a prayer for anyone in need of one.

She is survived by her daughter Debbie Melton of Campbell, Tx., three grandchildren: Naomi Melton, Alyssa Melton and Dustan Dorgan and wife Vera, and a great granddaughter Raylee Grace Dorgan. She is also survived by a sister, Jean Dorgan. Preceding her in death were her parents, Dillard and Naomi Campbell, step-father Howard Campbell, her husband of 42 years, Bobby Soape and two brothers: Wayne Campbell and Charles Campbell.

Graveside service will be held Thursday December 23, 2021 at 12:00 P.M. at Hallsville Cemetery in Hallsville, TX with Brother Terry Bryan officiating.
