Sister Jeanette Allene Harris

Jeanette Allene Harris, 74, of Commerce, TX passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2018.

Jeanette was born on September 26,1943, in Litchfield, Ill to AH & Lois Jaster.

She graduated from Brenham Independent School District. She also attended College at Massey Business College in Houston. She worked for 42 years at Dave's Appliance using her business degree.

She was ordained by the United Christian Church & Ministerial Association on September 9, 1986. Jeanette was a Pastor at Living Word Praise Chapel and was a faithful servant of God who devoted her life to sharing Gods word with anyone she came into contact with. She loved to travel with her husband on their motorcycle and see the beauty of God’s creation. Jeanette lived for her family and loved spending time with her grandchildren & great grandchildren.

She is survived by her granddaughters & their husbands, Stefanie and Tracy Foster of Trenton; Tamra and Cole Craige of Bokchito; six great grandchildren, Jarret Foster, Zander Craige, Zaiden Craige, Stryker Foster, Wyatt Craige, and Caldyr Foster; her son-in-law Larry Skinner of Trenton.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father, AH & Lois Jaster, her hushand, Lonnie Harris, and both her children, Michelle Harris-Skinner and Michael Harris.

Family night will be held Monday March 12, 2018 from 6-8:00 P.M. at Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home

Graveside service and burial will be Tuesday March 13, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at Shiloh Cemetery, Delta County with Bro. Brock Mitchell officiating.
