Steve Evans

Steve Evans, 65, of Commerce passed away on Wednesday, April 30, 2014.

Steve was born in Leesville, LA, on August 27, 1948, to Bobbie Fisher Evans and John L. Evans. He was married to Beverly Marie Wilson Evans for a wonderful 30 years. Steve was a retired grounds keeper for Texas A & M University in Commerce. In Steve's free time, he loved to wash and clean cars and trucks

Survivors include his wife, Beverly; his son, Marcus J. Wilson (Kathryn) of Allen; his daughter, Lindsey M. Evans of Commerce; his five grandsons: Kamden Wilson, Myles Wilson, Konner Wilson, Landon Evans and Logan Evans; his four brothers: Fred Evans (Sheila) of Moss Bluff, LA, Shadrach Evans of Nashville, TN, Meshach Evans (Amii) of Florine, LA, and Shana Kia Evans (Kenya) of Houston; his two sisters: Kia Shana Howard (Chuck) and Ka-Shanna Banks of Houston, TX, his sister-in-law, Laura Evans Warner of Lake Charles, LA; and, a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, John Lorne Evans.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, May 10, 2014, at 11:00 A.M. at Mount Moriah Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Hall officiating and Rev. Leon Harrison as eulogist.

Pallbearers wil be Chris Winston, Leonard Harrison, Fabian Fields Sr., Fabian Fields Jr., Maurise Ford and Lawrence Neal.

Honorary pallbearers will be Wesley Monroe, Johnny Green, Bob Harrison and Billy Crosby.

Interment will follow at Rosemound Cemetery.
