Thomas Michael Cate

Thomas Cate, 45, passed away on Thursday, March 25, 2010 in Greenville.

Tom was born August 1, 1964, in Merced, CA, to Carol A. and Dick H. Cate. He was raised in Merced and attended Merced High School. He moved to Sulphur Springs, Texas, in 1989, and later moved to Greenville, TX.

He worked in retail for over 30 years and liked working with the public and talking to everyone. To him, no one was a stranger. He liked nothing better than being with his family. He also enjoyed horse back riding and being with his animals.

Tom is survived by his mother, Carol Cate of Atwater, CA; his father, Dick Cate of Omak, WA; his brother Tim Cate and sister Tina Dover (James) of Merced; his sister, Lisa Williams of Kapaa, HI; 9 nieces and nephews, 7 great nieces and nephews; and many beloved aunts, uncle, and cousins.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
