Thomas F. Fell 94, of Bonham, Texas died Sunday, March 19, 2017, at Dallas Veteranâs Hospital.
Tom was born on September 7,1922, in Webster, PA. of parents Francis Albert and Nellie Boyd Fell. He grew up in Fellsburg, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. Mr. Fell had been a resident of the Community Living Center in Bonham, Texas for the past 7 years. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He had a kind heart and was known for his many fun loving attitude. He loved to play the piano, write songs and had just learned to paint pictures this last year and enjoyed those around him helping him put puzzles together. He was also a cat lover and even had one that loved to travel with him in his car. But most of all he loved his family and talking to people and getting to know them.
He retired in 1965 with 20 yearâs service from the United States Army and was a veteran of World War II, served many places including Alaska, Japan, New Guinea, Germany and France. He received many awards and accolades. After retiring he moved to Dallas to be close to his children.
Survivors include: daughter, Delores Ann Fell and husband Richard M. Ohr, step-grandson JR Ohr and wife Morgan; grand daughter, Delaina Fell and husband Alexander Bordin, great grand daughter Francis Bordin; grand daughter, Kristy and husband Jake Dempsey and great grand children Haley Dempsey and Jaxson Dempsey.Tom is also survived by two brothers and a sister, William A. Fell, James E. Fell and Dolores (Fell) Neth and their families.
He was preceded in death by his son, Robert Francis Fell.
The entire family would like to thank the Doctors, Nurses and Staff at the Community Living Center at the Veterans Association in Bonham, Texas for their loving care.
Tom had a wonderful life and we are blessed to have had him in ours.
Sgt.Thomas Fell will be laid to rest at a later date at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.
