William “Bob” Edward Harrison Sr. passed away peacefully, at his home in Commerce, Texas on Friday, May 24, 2024. He was born in East Caney, Texas on February 11, 1935, to the Parents of Billy Thomas and Emma Lou Harrison. He was the 2nd oldest of twelve children.
Bob moved to Commerce, Texas at an early age and he attended St. Paul School. He had a life-long relationship with the Lord. He was a devout Christian and a faithful member of Grace Fellowship Church in Commerce, Texas, under the leadership of Pastor Leon Harrison.
He was employed at E-Systems/Raytheon for over 30-years, where he excelled as Building & Grounds Supervisor. He was also self-employed for over 60-years. Bob built many businesses and personal relationships in and around the Community over the years.
In his past time, he enjoyed exercising and fishing, as well as spending quality time with Family & Friends. He was a car enthusiast and had a love for dogs.
He is survived by his loving Wife: Orthesia Allen Harrison of Commerce, Texas, two daughters: Cathy Wesley (Rickey) of Dallas, Texas and Sheryl Northcutt of Dallas, Texas, two sons: William Edward Harrison II (Evette) of Commerce, Texas, Marcus Edward Harrison of Commerce, Texas, two stepsons: Aaron “Heavy” Massey (Dee) of Dallas, Texas & Antonio J’air Johnson of Denver, Colorado, four grandchildren: Tiffany Dillard, Myreo Sampson, Zavian Harrison, Jamal Harrison, one brother, six sisters and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Special sons: Darrell Galloway, Byron Merkerson, Micheal Merkerson, Godson Cordryc Shropshire.
He was preceded in death by his Parents: Billie “T” & Momma “Lou” Harrison, one sister and three brothers, one great grandson, and one great nephew/son, one son-in-law, and one stepson.Thursday, May 30, 2024
