Winnie L. Miles

Winnie L. Miles, 89, passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2017, in Greenville.

Born in Wills Point, TX, on December 13, 1927, to Bertha Cooper McManus and Burlie Coleman McManus, she had lived on the Hunt County side of Ladonia. On September 17, 1948, she married Leslie T. Miles in Dallas. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Commerce.

She is survived by her husband; her sons: Danny L. Miles of Leonard and Ricky Lee Miles also of Leonard; her daughter, Kathy Brewer of Sunnyvale, TX; and, her grandchildren: Sara Beth Cox of Houston, Lucas Taylor Miles of Seattle, WA, and Allie Nicole Miles of Denver, CO.

Winnie was preceded in death by her parents; her twin brother, Benny Coleman McManus; and, Billy John McManus.

Visitation will be held at Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 3, 2017, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.

Graveside services and interment will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at Grove Hill Memorial Park in Dallas. Rev. Kris Myers of First Baptist Church of Commerce will officiate.
